About Laura
In her professional capacity as an Accredited Practising Dietitian and Gestalt Psychotherapist, Laura Kiely has offered clinical support to people living with eating disorders and their complications for over a decade, in hospital and private practice settings.
She has dedicated much of her career to comprehending the personal impact of her patients’ experiences and is particularly interested in the narratives of people who live with this illness. Through research and advocacy, Laura hopes to influence conceptualisations of AN and its treatment as well as improve the public’s understanding of anorexia nervosa. To support this aim, Laura has collaborated with leading eating disorder researchers through the Graduate Research School, School of Medicine, Western Sydney University.
Chloe’s catalogue and exhibition are one aspect of this endeavor.
